Subject: New US Tanker RFP

Apparently the new tanker RFP allows "extra credit" for extra capacity and uses - greatly favoring NG/Eads - while also considering fuel usage, infrastructure, and longer term costs - which supposedly favors Boeing.

My suspicion is the air-force clearly set it up this time to favor the KC-30 with its extra capacity, while simply throwing Boeing a bone. I imagine Boeing could only counter with a 777 or 787 either of which would be way too far behind in the development curve.
