Is anyone here familiar with the capabilities of the USA's M55 rocket? The chemical warheads receive prominent mention when it comes to disposal operations, but I am having difficulty finding out what the original system was like. Was it a short range mortar, or a longer range MLR type battlefield support weapon?

I'm not familiar with it either - but I would imagine it would be used with a MLR system. The other possibility is that it could be launched from a helicopter from a rocket pod.
