We just had a reminder-even though it was a false alarm-of the Poison-by-Mail tactics-which I believe were carried out by the "Womens' Auxilliary" of al-Qaeda.

I have a website about this. It's a bit long, and sometimes repititious, but you may find it worth reading.

(Russia had a spy at Ft. Detrick, according to Dr. Alibek) Someone should clarify with Dr. Alibek as to whether he was referring to the 1928 Ames or the 1980 Ames. g.  Method Used to Weaponize the Anthrax link Dr. Richard Spertzel is persuasive that a spraydryer with silica was used (as both a dessicant and carrier). h.  Inquiries About Crop dusters link The CIA in June 2003 concluded Atta's and Moussaoui's inquiries related to dispersal of biological agents such as anthrax.  KSM also had someone researching ultralights, and other notes have related to dispersal by a balloon.  The FBI's "Operation Tripwire" should be sure to include all of these possibilities. i.   The Threat Looming On The Horizon And The Hunt For Jaffar The Pilot link There's every reason to think that Jaffar the Pilot poses an imminent threat of a mass casualty event. IV. Modus Operandi: Egyptian Islamists' Earlier WTC Letter Bombs to Washington, DC and New York City Newspapers and Practice of Sending Poisonous Letters as Threats link They did the same thing with respect to those detained for WTC 1993.  The militant islamists supporting the blind sheik (such as Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Zawahiri) sent letter bombs to Washington, DC and NYC newspapers, along with some symbolic targets to make their message clear. They even asked Saddam how to make letter bombs according to the new Feith memo. V.  Don't Knock the Importance of Opportunity link Zawahiri travelled to the US with a US Army Sergeant on a terrorist recon mission. VI. Red Herrings or Missed Clues? link a.  FBI's Profile The FBI has never been as confused as the media or well-meaning but mistaken adherents of a bioevangelist theory.  At least let's hope not.  All the FBI profilers, however, might best leave it to CIA and DIA analysts. b. Suspected Pakistan  Anthrax link If not a "false positive," was it the avirulent strain Yazid Sufaat had? f.  Atta's Travels to Prague and the Alleged Iraq Connection. link Though viewed by many conservatives as blockbuster, the new memo by Feith really didn't have  much new.  Although inconclusive, there remains a substantial question as to whether Iraq was the source of the Ames.  It's been known for years that Ayman Zawahiri met with Iraqi intelligence in 1992 and 1998. g.  The Malaysian Microsoft Letter link If not a "false positive," was it the avirulent strain Yazid Sufaat had?  (failing the third test). h. The Mason In Charge Of Building A Case link With this "new age" Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., the FBI likely will continue to strive to balance the need to solve the crime with civil liberties. Whatever our political persuasion, we should cut them some slack and realize that we really know very little about the investigation. VII. "Hatfill Theory":  Another Jewell In The Rough link One of the silliest suggestions was that someone would send really potent stuff and then go to Great Britain and send a hoax letter.  A sincere apology would be a good start. VIII.  A Blast From The Past:  Comparison with the Evidence in the Unabom Matter link There was massive evidence against Kaczynski when it was revealed.  Here, there is already massive evidence of an Al Qaeda conspiracy that is available from open source information.
