Subject: What Mos is best for me?

I am 16 and joining the marines as soon as I can, hopefully my 17th b-day or last day of skool, but i will be going into the DEP for a year like my bro. I know becoming a marine is the first thing to worry about, but my mos is also as important. I love to build, design stuff, good with computers, basically making things. Can anyone throw some mos's i might like out there for me. ones that i can most likely be "guaranteed" or ones i can work up to. thx.

My experince is fairly obsolete. Given the currrent war I'd suggest you should not be disappointed if the 0300 MOS are your primary options. Other than that I'd try for any sort of MOS with the words mechanic or maintinance associated with it. Based on your brief remark it sounds like you may spend a fair ammount of time turning wrenches, or tinkering with electronics, if so aircraft/vehical mechanic, or electronics repair might fit. The engineer battalions are not numerous and orientied towards heavy construction. If you want to discuss this further try emailing me directly, or failing that post here again.
