The LURD rebels have apparently backed off on their advance on the capital, while moving further west to attack and plunder other towns. No one knows how many rebels there, but it apparently only a few hundred. Most of the army is spread out over the country in small garrisons. The total strength of the army is only about 4,000 men, although there are several thousand others who can be called up, armed and sent out in organized units.
