Subject: UN meddles in Honduras
PPR    7/1/2009 11:52:50 AM
The UN recently passed a resolution condemning the removal of Honduras's president Zelaya as a "coup" and called upon member nations not to recognize the current government. What's wrong with that? It is prohibited by the UN charter. The UN is not allowed to interfere in purely internal matters, which this matter is. This illustrates what is wrong with the UN. It has become dominated by tyrants and outlaw states, giving them a legitimacy they do not deserve. It has become so corrupted and perverted that its original goals are now routinely ignored.

To be fair he had grassroot support, and there are accusations of outside support. He also indicated he would leave peaceably - not that I'm sure whether to believe him. He is after all an ally of Hugo Chavez.

But generally I agree with you, the left-wing internationalist definitely wish to break their own charter when it benefits their twisted aims.

I'm researching right now to dig deeper into this, I want to know if there was really any oppression in Honduras of either group, the rich and the poor.
