Paul Volcker's relationship with the French bank handling the "FFO" revenue should have been enough to question the findings of his investigation. The political need to protect the UN concludes that the corruption trail ends at the doorstep of a very guilty underling. While 28 Billion dollars are missing, this assistant will be sacrificed: accused of stealing a million dollars, about 1/100th% of the missing money. The proof? His Aunt, a Cypriot civil servant deposited several hundred thousand dollars in his account. While nepotism and corruption deposit funds in Swiss banks, those protected by the "in house" investigation feign indignation, and profess continued dedication to the ideals of the UN. The 28 Billion dollars are still unaccounted for. The MSM will report that the scandal has been exposed, and the ONE person responsible will be “pink slipped”. ( maybe, but with all benefits intact) The UN trust’s the MSM ability to dampen public awareness by: concluding the scandal has been solved, and by refusing to publish all follow up revelations. Meanwhile, unable to affect an end to the slaughter in Sudan, the UN declares there is no genocide taking place in Sudan: end of problem. (Rwanda ring a bell? Or Bosnia?) Once again corruption, in the guise of altruism, triumphs. Defended by Liberals and Democrats. How I wish for the days of my youth, when olfactory fatigue would protect me from the UN.
