I did not know you condidered the term WASP an insult... Well, sorry then, but to us it is just a label for the dominant ethnic group in your model of equalitarian democracy.
I totally disagree with you when you say that the US recognizes its wrong, whereas France does not. What about Iraq, Kosovo, Cuba, the tens of thousands of civilians you have killed, the countries you keep oppressing for flimsy excuses? I have discussed here for some time; I have often recognized the dark past of France. Very rarely have I seen an American do the same. The French public opinion is overwhelmimgly in favour of thorough investigations about te tortures in Algeria. But every time American ruthlessness is denounced, the American public opinion dismisses the attacks as "manipulations". I have dozens of examples... Again, that really is the pot calling the kettle black.
Now for American "generosity"... Every country acts in its own interest and at the expense of the others whenever necessary (geopolitics for kids, lesson 1). Why are you Americans totally unable to accept that? Give me any, I say ANY example of such generosity, and I will demonstrate the true reasons for it. The Marshall Plan? The US was obliged to do that because it did not want Western Europe to turn communist. Aid to the third world with no immediate benefits? Investment for favoured market opportunities, troop deployments, political allies in international institutions, etc...
Question: do your history books tell the truth, or the crap about "generosity" and America the pure?
Now for your little "history challenge", I am ready and YOU are bound to lose it. I do not say the US is the biggest bastard of the 20th century, but it sure is in the top ten. What is in store for the 21st century?
