GM consists of people with exclusively business training and large organization experience.
American business people mainly adhere to the philosophy of pragmatism. They almost certainly view the Communist ideology of China's rulers as some sort of necessary mythology which has no import when it comes to trade.
Everything is negotiable in the interest of succeeding in business.

I believe that Congress inthe nineties was considering a Most Favored Nation status for the PRC.
I had been listening to Dr. James Dobson's show in which he gave objections to the awarding of this recognition to the PRC. I wrote my House rep. stating my objections the Most Favored Nation status (including the ground of the reported harvesting of organs).
My House rep. responded saying that she was voting in favor. She is very conservative but the district she represents has a large corporate and business community. Her business contacts had convinced her that this would be good for our country.

I have full respect of your actions, and lament the fact that the business and US interests are literally given away by those asshats.
