Subject: Is Obama Returning To His 2008 Campaign Narrative?
CJH    10/30/2010 8:59:11 PM
The most partisan president in memory, the guy who dismissed town hall meeting protesters and declared war on Fox News all after he was elected now may start sounding like the centrist he pretended to be before he was elected in 2008. It's been my impression Obama welcomes a Republican controlled House and maybe a Republican Senate. He needs better excuses than blaming Bush and the Democrats controlled Congress something like the last 24 months of the Bush administration. He probably calculates that two years of gridlock will leave him in acceptable shape going into 2012. He probably plans a 2012 Dem comeback in time for a second two year legislative blitz 2013-2015. Obama urges 'steps' after election, calls GOP stance 'troubling' Quote - "These are steps we all should be able to agree on, not Democratic or Republican ideas, but proposals that have traditionally been supported by both parties," he said. He said he's concerned that Republicans and Democrats will spend the "next two years arguing with one another, trapped in stale debates, mired in gridlock, unable to make progress in solving the serious problems facing our country." - Unquote
