Also, I didn't say crap who you voted for. But if I had voted for McCain, I'm sure many of the ignorant posters here including yourself would be patting me on the back. I remember when they did it when I told you I voted for Bush 4 years ago. SOme of you people are hypocrites!

If anyone in this country can vote for whomever they damn well please, it's a volunteer soldier.
You are due my utmost respect regardless of how the text may translate.

When America realizes that duct tape and tire pressure gauges would have been a better idea,
you'll be able to double-toldyaso.

Darth,

I'm a retired NCO who dealt with mobilization operations for National Guard and Reserve troops for three years.

I am very, very aware of the regulations I mentioned, I dealt with them and others relating to NG officers on a daily basis.

I think you are the one who needs to buy a clue.

Darth,

I'm a retired NCO who dealt with mobilization operations for National Guard and Reserve troops for three years.

OK well first of all you are wrong. It was perfectly ok for me to wear my Uniform there. Second, since you know so much, why don't you quote the regulation? The answer is you can't. But I can. So go and read your AR 670-1 and unlearn that BS you are trying to spout here. I know full well when and where I can wear my Uniform. I've been doing this a long time and even if I was wrong, which I'm not, I wouldn't give a damn. SO go get a clue and then explain it to someone who cares.

j. Wearing Army uniforms is prohibited in the following situations:

(1) In connection with the furtherance of any political or commercial interests, or when engaged in off-duty civilian

employment.

(2) When participating in public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies, or public demonstrations, except

as authorized by competent authority.

(3) When attending any meeting or event that is a function of, or is sponsored by, an extremist organization.

(4) When wearing the uniform would bring discredit upon the Army.

(5) When specifically prohibited by Army regulations.

There are your regs nimrod. Nothing about attending the inauguration and watching as a bystander prohibits a soldier from wearing the uniform and there were HUNDREDS of off duty soldiers doing it.

Darth, note I said retired?

I quit screaming regs at idiots wearing shiny shit on their collars when I retired.  I hated it then, and the Army paid me to do it.

I'm not getting paid for this, so guess what? I'm not even going to bother. You're wrong, you know it, and you know it.

You've really made yourself look like an ass hat with your constant fawning over the new POTUS and racism accusations lately, right wing idiot comments, etc.

Back it down a notch or 30 and you won't look like such a fool.

Is this damned add on the right side of the screen driving anyone else nuts?

That gone and an edit post function would make this so much easier.

You back down. I just showed you how wrong you were. Also I don't need an explanation from you about regs not to mention even if you were right, which clearly by reg you aren't, I would not care.

That's one hell of a fine response from someone whose authority in uniform is based on the regulations he's ignoring.

Any other regs you selectively enforce? Must be one hell of a unit if you can pick and choose which regs to follow.

Somebody, anybody, please post the regs that bar DA from wearing his uniform as a sign of respect for the office of president and the republic the office represents during public inauguration ceremonies.  A citation will be fine.  It sounds as if I should notify the retirees who jump commemoratively in their original issue uniforms at my home dropzone during VE and Memorial Day that they are violating regs.  Step up (once again, and thank you) and we can bring them under proper scrutiny.

Retirees are specifically allowed to wear their uniforms at ceremonies.

Darth is CA NG, and his rank in CA may or may not be valid outside of the state of CA,
depending on the situation.
