The translation is a little rough, but you still get the gist of what they're saying.  The thing that shocked me was the review of the silly movie they did an article on.  The reviewer talks about the upcoming bicentennial of Mexico, and asks if it is worth celebrating given Mexico's long history of corruption and violence.  Yikes!  Was that sort of thing going on in the American media about our bicentennial in 1976?  Maybe in far Left circles, but it sure as hell wasn't in the mainstream media.  Pretty brutal.

My recollection about our centennial is a little dim but I do remember some commentary from liberal media types sympathizing with our former mother country.

Of course I was by then really sick of far left discourse so it may be that I just turned it off in my mind.
