I've been arguing with this dude on another message board for awhile...and I'm getting tired of it....just thought I'd post what he's been saying, just because its so outrageous. This was his latest post. "For starters, NO war is justified, since every war could have been avoided at a point in time. Prevention always beats treatment. just because its to late to do the right thing, does not mean that the wrong becomes a right. The "lesser evil" is not a "good". So If there is a war, its becasue the poleticians either wanted it, or they were just plainy incompitent, or both. Also, unless someone has been completely brutaly victimized by war(which the US and Britain haven't), they don't really know what war is about and they should not claim it as rightious. And people who were victimized and want war are just psycologicaly damaged/driven by vengence. War never serves as a greater ideological good, since it contractitoary to its basis. the main concept of war is to kill. The basis of war is death. That is all there is to it. To think that war serves the greater good is like saying"if you sprinkle dust over the hippos butt, it and the unicorn will dance over the honey lake of Schlarafia". The solier, is nothing more than a killer. Not a Hero. But a Killer and also a Victim at the same time. So the whole heroic soldier idea is just a delusion to hide the true nature of the soldier. Soldiers kill, rape and plunder. The kill is the only thing that is their purpose. And if someone thinks otherwhise, they might aswell dance with the Hippo and the Unicorn over the Honey lake of Schlarafia. Also modern warfare is horribly old vashion. Soldiers fighting other soldiers? You will never eliminate the head of a nation that way in time. You go for the upper group first. Assasination warfare. The US had spies around Hussain. They just never did anything. Sure it might be hard to assasinate, but if it comes to combat, everything is posible. And that "beheading the Cobra"strike was a joke. There was a 99% certainty that Husain was not in that palace. Instead they killed servants and guards. And the bombing of the restaurant killed also innocent peoples. Assasination by bombing must be the dumbest warfare since the WWI running into bullets strategy. The truth is war strategiest are not interested to end a battle fast. they want a whole big war with all the features, to satisfy special interest groups who profit from war. Thats all there is to it. And the "American Savage" is very close to the truth. Everything tragic on non-US soil or with non americans is eaither just casualties of war, or just just simply casual. When they showed the captured soldiers in Iraki TV, the US was outraged. But when they showed the dead bodies of Husains sons on TV, Americans were actually celebrating. They don't know them, they never mett them, they did not even think that even they have families, they just celebrated their deaths. If that is not discustingly savage, then I don't know what is. pleasure in someones death is just plain bad. No matter who it is. And also, another disturbing trend in the US is the Patriotism. And simply put, promotional patriotism is nothing more than racism. If you like your country and keep it personal, fine. Nothing wrong with that. But if you agressvly promote it, its racist. Doesn't mean that most patriotic people are racist, but it does't change that the concept of promotional patriotism still is racist. And if someone disagrees, then they don't know what they are talking about." Honestly....I really didn't think people like this existed.

This opinion is all too strong common in these days. It is a result of the Liberal government's panzy attitudes for the past 10 years.
