| Two Cdn. soldiers driving one of the new armoured South African vehicles called the Nyala, were injured when an IED went off near their vehicle today. They WIA were airlifted by helo to a hospital in Kandahar for further treatment. The soldiers had been travelling between the Cdn. outpost at Gumbad, 75 km north of Kandahar City when the IED was detonated. Due to the limited road access to and from the base it has been dubbed IED Alley. |
