Subject: Did anybody hear about the boy who ....

crossed into Cananda on his bike, rode right past Us and Canadaian Customs and he was finally picked up by a Niagra Falls PD officer. If a 5 yr old boy can cross the US into Canada and back into the US w/o be detected think of how many terrorits could have passed through. Chris

the reason why pd picked him up is probably because the canadian military was laying down their arms and surrendering to him. I heard france phoned in a surrender on this one too.

Well, despite common thought about the cowardice of our army (given, it is in terrible shape with equipment), it is an institution were great pride is held among many soldiers. A surrender would be unlikely to any enemy unless the nation was in ruins. Although I get what you mean.

Canadian solders are excellent troop, certainly. But the Canadian government support for them is almost criminally lacking -- they have to make do with obsolete and insufficient equipment, with little money for training, and almost no relief on the horizon. Canadian soldiers do a goo job at peacekkeping, and they did well in Afghanistan, but with the current lack of equipemtn and transport, and major weapon systems, Canada must rely upon the US for its national deterrent against any possible powerful foe. Hopefully the Canadian government will realise that it is doing a dis-service to its soldiers and to its people, and rectify this ASAP. NewGuy
