they are going to build an optical telescope with a mirror 100 metres across that's 110 yards just about for the metrically challenged. it will be 100x the surface area of the largest scope in existance now and it will call for some pretty nifty new technology to be developed to build it. it's going to be built in a burb of vancouver canada.
