Subject: A small country turned into graves?
Momento_Uno    4/26/2002 11:40:05 PM
I suggest that the Western Powers need to understand the people of Nepal and their issues deeply, rather then dumping weapons to benefit a regime, which has been limited only to town and cities. Every one knows the delicate geo-politics of Nepal and it is not very difficult to understand that those who are in power in Nepal are there because of the support they are getting from New Delhi rather than from the people of Nepal. Elections are won by those who have muscle power or money in that part of the world (which they call as the "Bihari Style" of democracy). So the western world should deeply understand the ground realities there before making Nepal another AFGHANISTAN. When such a small country is made into a Grave Yard, where are the Human Rights Groups? Why is everyone silent in the arbitrary killings? Momento_Uno New York

Nepal looks to be in a very delicate geo-political situation. It is India locked from three sides. All the governments that came after 1990 Popular movements represented the Interests of Indian Establishment. Hence Western Powers, before dumping arms to support the corrupted feudal establishment in Kathmandu should think carefully the root cause of the sufferings of the nepali people.

So the western world should deeply understand the ground realities there before making Nepal another AFGHANISTAN. We WON in AFGHANISTAN, you Maoist puppet lackey. I suggest that the Western Powers need to understand the people of Nepal and their issues deeply, rather then dumping weapons... True. We need to exterminate the Maoists and cut them off from their PRC masters, not simply toss weapons to the Nepalese people and hope for the best. The PRC is trying to destroy Nepal, and is using mercenaries and bandits to do so. China is so much bigger than Nepal, so how can the Nepalese fight off such attacks indefinitely without help? When such a small country is made into a Grave Yard, where are the Human Rights Groups? Why is everyone silent in the arbitrary killings? Ask the people of Cambodia, massacred by Chinese Maoist mercenaries called the Khmer Rouge then conquered by the Vietnamese communists. Or ask the innocents of Peru, afflicted for years by Maoist drug-traffickers in the jungles. How can you sleep at night? Don't the ghosts of your tortured victims keep you awake?

I'm with you again, DrCruel. The Chinese seem to throw their weight around callously without even considering the consquences to others. This is why they have a reputation as a bully nation. India, on the other hand, is a big fat blob of flab. The murderous Maoists are massacring unabatedly, and India is standing there like a deer caught in the headlights. This is a recipe for disaster. A Chinese-made recipe, complete with gobs of MSG.

I'd like to know, whom exactly do you feel is responsible for these massacres? Do you not recognize that the Maoists are doing this? Or are you one of these paranoid conspiracy theorists who will somehow turn these events into a "western plot"? China is indeed behind this. They are indeed behind the massacres. They are attempting to project their power on their Western borders to counter India and to counter the American presence in Afghanistan. This is how the cold-blooded mandarins in Beijing do things. They are unelected thugs who are used to lording it over their own citizenry, and therefore have no qualms at all about massacring the citizens of a neighboring country. The rulers in Beijing are accountable to no one.
