INDONESIA was a good place-nicer people, until 1992,pakistans isi inter service inteligence had created a new army in indonesia.they created LASHKAR-ISLAM A NEW JIHAD ORGANISTATIONS TO KILL TO HATE TO ATTACK.brain washed the people of indonesia, and recruted thousonds of them to fight pakistans (isi) proxy war in kashmir ,afghanistan taliban, phillipinos, burma, chechenya, kosovo, bosnia, sudan, somalia, georgia, dagestan, inguia, and many more places. ISI are clever they sell arms to places like indonesia and malaysia, fooling them.

ISI operates a much larger net of terrorists than they are recogonized for. In Pakistan itself i believe that they have control over a lot more than Musharraf would give them credit for. The recent attacks on Musharraf could also to a certain extent be propagated by the ISI. I don't think that the ISI operating in Indonesia should be a shock. They are highly capable of tapping into activities like these, since they brain wash people on the name of islam and recruit them to commit violences when and where it benifits the ISI's intrests. ISI may not directly be in control of these terrorist outfits outside Pakistan, but they are definatley involved in funding and providing support to these groups. The only was is to make sure the Pakistan totally dismantles all terrorist organizations which are openly operating in Pakistan, because their functioning is what aids the ISI to cause more choas around the world. ISI is definatly in involved in the terrorism in Kashmir against India and evidence of this has been provided to the international community, but was ignored. Pakistan calls this a 'freedom struggle'. When someone actively seeks to kill innocent people, regardless of where that is, it can only be named as terrorism. Pakistan needs to be returned to democracy and the international community needs to see to it that the whole ISI network is dismanteled so that they are not capable of carrying out any more terrorist activities. -corrector

Correct me if I am wrong, but Mushareff has only been in power a few years and has done a pretty good job of managing, though not fixing, the mess he took responsibilty for. As I understand it, he is not even very Muslim himself. Given that Pakistan was a "democracy" for a long time before Mushareff, do you think returning Pakistan to that state of affairs would solve the problem if ISI?

One would hope that there is some frank and robust dialogue happening between ASIO and the ISI. Now that pakistan and india have been removed from the "hostile" list again, there needs to be some fast and fancy footwork.

Dear INFILTRAITOR has given to much credit to ISI and I suggest he is not entirely wrong in his assessment. The credit also goes to Indian politician who blames everything even fighting between two persons anywhere as ISI sponsored war. Can some one give an example of some terrorist act in india which was not blamed on it. This seem as partly response of ISI Killer Strategy that makes it so powerful. To understand psychi of ISI one have to adopt paradoxical thinking rather conventional one, that why American rarely go into its mind.

This is what old Chinese summed up as "The Art of War" book.

To understand psyche of ISI one have to adopt paradoxical thinking rather conventional one, that why American rarely go into its mind. That’s why majority of people underestimate/overestimate its real power, that true circle of power is a paradox. Due to the very same reason that instead controlling its own mess you will see statements from Indian side like "Singh says Pakistan not doing enough against militant groups".

Aussiegunner, i have to admit you are almost perfectly accurate in your assessment. Musharaff rating as worse as Bush but he has done good job for some but very critical issues like Education, Gawader port(declared as energy corridor), construction, IT, Oil and Gas etc. Musharraf sometimes does not get credit of thing followed by contries "Paradoxical Strategy", as not understood by many which not require conventional thought to understand. He is not even a look like a Muslim, so not much liked by our faithfuls, but on the other hand he had used MMA a religious Allaience for his "agenda" not liked and understood by many around the world.
