Subject: Yahoo and Tibet

I don't know where Yahoo learned its history, but Tibet did not revolt against Chinese rule. China invaded Tibet, committed genocide in Tibet, moved thousands of ethnic Chinese into Tibet to replace and displace Tibetans. China violated its previous, and subsequent treaties, with Tibet. Almost 60 years later, Yahoo is revisionist or ignorant to display a headline stating the anniversary of an "uprising". This uprising was an ancient culture defending itself from a powerful aggressive communist Chinese invasion. After almost 60 years of genocide, the culture and identity of Tibet survives in spite of the Chinese and Yahoo.

There is no more FREE Tibet. You'll have to ask the PRC if they have any left.

For the sake of not getting drawn into a pointless debate, I'm choosing to ignore your Northern Ireland comments for now.

I really just want to ask you one simple question: If the people of Tibet (the ones still living there) were given the option to cast a vote as to whether or not they want the Chinese ruling their land, what do you think the outcome would be?

Please be honest with yourself...

Before the Chinese allow a vote, Tibetans are removed or diluted. Then the election would be open to international scrutiny. The sad result is three generations after the invasion and resulting genocide, China would allow an election the UN would sanction.

Free Tibet!
