Most of the Taliban are fundamentally opposed to the concept of parliamentary democracy. Most of those who are not switched the sides already, like Gulbuddin Hekmatyar did, for example. So, it does not seem to be much room for compromise. Even if there was a compromise, what about ISIL affiliated groups ?
