Subject: F-35 vs. Eurofighter
IAFbestinworld    8/13/2004 11:49:07 PM
Lockheed says that besides the f-22, the f-35 will be the best air to air fighter in the future, is this true? Could an f-35 take a Eurofighter? My opinion says yes since f-35 contains more stealthy characteristics.

JTR~~    the EF is designed to be unstable   5/13/2010 2:13:23 PM

Ah yes but there's 2 of them on the F-18E/F

Either way the stats don't show it to out perform the E/F2000 and I doubt that the airframe is more unstable than the Typhoon.

hence the large numbers of computers that are required to keep it in the air, its a bit like a bee, by all rights it shouldn?t be able to fly, and without the computers it would be hell trying to keep the thing airborne, but this is in turn what makes it so agile and manoeuvrable, it can perform turns and manoeuvres the likes of which most planes would struggle to perform, even in some cases with the assistance of thrust vectoring capabilities.

You do realize you are responding to four year old posts right? Plenty of those people don't even seem to frequent this place anymore.

That and the fact that you just had all these arguments vs the F22 thread:)

Getting kind of old.

and they were not arguments, they are points of view which are relevant to both aircraft hence why i posted on here in the first place.

JTR, I know that you speak English and I speak American - who said that we were two countries separated by a common language? - but what do you think an argument is, if not  an assertion of one's point of view?  You remind me of the Monty Python "Argument" sketch. http://www.strategypage.com/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Images/emteeth.gif" align="absmiddle" border="0" alt="" />

of course an argument is an assertion of one?s views to another, it may also be a representation of a different take on things, but i was trying to state that although, yes my views could be presented as an argument in their current state, i was not looking to present them as so at this point (we will leave that one till later), i didn?t wish to argue with people, hence my representation of my points not being arguments, i saw it as more of stating relevant facts, but yes you are right it may have been perceived as points of argument, i was simply trying to avoid ramming my views down anyone?s throats

oh, and it appears you have good taste in comedy, Monty python ahh, classic
