Subject: 2009 displays of the F-22 and the Rafale

Oh , really ? Let me tell you something Beazz , during an air show , it is very much like a Grand Prix (F1 , Daytona , etc) and the various "stands" (Boeing , LM , Dassault , Saab , Eurofighter , etc) are closely looking at what the others are doing .
Teams are also under pressure while the general atmosphere is more friendly than at a Grand Prix . Some will remember a couple of air show where the Rafale and the Typhoon took off twice to try to better the other 's display . For the people watching , it is a continuous display of various aircraft but for the Teams , it is more like a friendly competition .
Then , it sometimes help to finalize a contract or to get more attention from a possible buyer .
An air show is not only a "fluffy" thingie , it is a real demonstration supposed to show the flying characteristics of a jet .

I know enough for what I have to say .

Good , I 've seen the Patrouille de France 7 times and the British Red Arrows 5 times .
Also , you do not rate the display of an aircraft by its sound and the amount of noise generated by the engines like I read earlier on . As an exemple , a Chevy 58 is making more noise and has more hp than a Peogeot 205 Gti but the Peugeot is eating alive the Chevy on any road or terrain .
