That video doesn't prove anything. The F-16 chase plane was in a high AoA attitude already in order to bleed off speed. Conversely, the Raptor was accelerating. The idea of chase planes is to follow the test aircraft in order to be a second pair of eyes/ears. I'm not faulting the abilities of the F-22, as I would dearly like it to have worn Roo roundels, yet the aforementioned video proves nothing. Secondly, there is a video thread for fighters on SP? Go figure. ;)

Where do I say it proves anything? Its just cool to watch!

Not as cool as the other F-22 videos. Especially the one with the Prodigy background music. I also like the ones where the F-22 fires an AIM-9 whilst inverted in an aileron roll. You can find links to these on the capt soap video thread that I've posted. :)

The F-22 litterally jumped off the ground accelerated into a vertical climb right past the F-16 and made it look as if it wasnt even moving when it passed. I wrote all that to say that the T/W ratio must be really damn high. I thought you were making the point that the F-22 was so fab that it made the F-16 look insignificant, thus applauding the virtues of said Raptor. No harm, no foul. :)
