Subject: Kashmir resolution.. straight from the horse's mouth
coolboyjay    11/16/2005 4:24:52 AM
There are a lot of pakistanis who have mentioned the UN resolution of 1948 time and again. I would like to throw some light on the resomution and what it asks the pakistani's to do. BTW, I know this would be refuted and viewed with suspicion.. but it is 100% true.. as it comes directly from the UN website. I am not going to put the whole resolution here but just some points. Now, I guess it time India says: Pakistan quit kashmir!!! http://www.un.int/pakistan/15480813.htm " As the presence of troops of Pakistan in the territory of the State of Jammu and Kashmir constitutes a material change in the situation since it was represented by the Government of Pakistan before the Security Council, the Government of Pakistan agrees to withdraw its troops from that State. The Government of Pakistan will use its best endeavour to secure the withdrawal from the State of Jammu and Kashmir of tribesmen and Pakistan nationals not normally resident therein who have entered the State for the purpose of fighting. Pending a final solution the territory evacuated by the Pakistan troops will be administered by the local authorities under the surveillance of the Commission. When the Commission shall have notified the Government of India that the tribesmen and Pakistan nationals referred to in Part II A 2 hereof have withdrawn, thereby terminating the situation which was represented by the Government of India to the Security Council as having occasioned the presence of Indian forces in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, and further, that the Pakistan forces are being withdrawn from the State of Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India agrees to begin to withdraw the bulk of their forces from the State in stages to be agreed upon with the Commission. " See, even according to the UN, it is pakistan who is the aggressor, not India..

b>paki bro, you really didn't get the theme did you just go thru this! >>Thanks CS, This is what i was looking for and you provided me with that. Just have a look on the in the same article hilighted. There are many young people in Kashmir today who are frustrated and disillusioned. They need something to look forward to and someone to look up to.<< oh ya, and you couldn’t get any of those line put out here. Obviously you don’t want them on here, never mind I will do that for you! The words highlighted can be taken in any sense because this was shown to show the state of the people you got to read the entire stuff PP. All the stuff are taken from the link I gave you already just visit it if you want! >>,The people of this part of Kashmir have always stood by India. When Pakistani intruders tried to cross into Kargil in the summer of 1999, we alerted the Indian army. But look at our living conditions. We don't have proper roads, hospitals or schools. Kargil is the poorest corner of Kashmir - our markets are falling apart, our streets are filthy. But even more than the Delhi government, we blame our state administration and the ruling National Conference. They have done nothing to improve our lives. They get a huge amount of funds from the federal government. The money passes from Delhi to the state government, ministers, bureaucrats and local administrators. After they have all taken their cut, what's left for us? What this state lacks is leadership. We need somebody with vision and somebody who will look our for us. I don't blame Delhi for all that's wrong with us. But I blame them for banking on Kashmiri politicians who only enrich themselves and care for no-one else's welfare. We are being asked to vote and choose our representatives. Who do we pick? I haven't seen a single party or politician with a programme that talks about our problems or deals with issues close to our heart.<< So what do you infer from this the kashmiris support the Indian govt. and want the pakis out. See he doesn’t blame the centre but the state govt which are constituted by Kashmiris themselves. Now read this paki! We don't like Pakistan. We live in constant fear of being shelled by the Pakistani army. They destroy our homes and our lives. Today we were shelled for hours. Our new airport, which is yet to open, was targeted. And you say they want to be with Pakistan your b@$t@rd army is making life miserable for the poor kashmiris and you support them hell with you India has yet to get us an air link which will connect us to the rest of the country. Pakistan wants to ensure we stay unconnected. That's our reality. India is a democratic country and we have faith in its democracy and its commitment to a multi-faith society. All we ask for is for somebody to stand up for us and our aspirations. There are many young people in Kashmir today who are frustrated and disillusioned. They need something to look forward to and someone to look up to. We have dreams as well but at the moment we have no hope of turning them into a realitySo they have faith in INDIA, and they say Pakistan doesn’t want kashmiris do develop and you take pride in it….LOL
