Subject: Islamic History for Young Muslims and Christians and all other religions
Profit Momad    10/23/2005 5:03:33 PM
In spite of volumes of literature on the subject, a vast majority of Muslims, Hindus, Christians, etc. young and old are ignorant of Islamic history. Yet, the importance of the knowledge of history cannot be overemphasized. According to Allama Iqbal, history is like long term memory where the voices of nations are preserved. So a people without knowledge of history are a people without memory. And people who cannot remember, obviously, cannot benefit from the lessons of history. The Quran demands that Muslims reflect upon history, not merely to know it but to learn from it. By studying history, Muslims, Hindus, Christians, etc. can gain an understanding of how Allah Almighty laws work in the extended lives of nations. The rise and fall of empires is not random, nor does God preordain the fate of nations. Rather, it is the actions of nations that cause their downfall; when the people fail to uphold the laws of society that Allah Almighty has set forth in the Quran. This is why God repeats and reminds us of the history of past nations throughout the Quran, so we can learn from their stories; if we repeat their mistakes, pointed out by the Quran. We will suffer similar consequences. Therefore, the Quran has the ultimate word on all issues. Yes the Quran is the only true word of Allah.

There is only one version of the Quran and do the Indians have to contradict everything? If it were not for the fact that Islam tells me to respect other religions,i would've said something but what respect can one have to such narrow minded people.

Last time i checked, Islam also says that it is ok to murder and rape Kafirs, the women are considered as property and that you will get 72 whores if you blow yourself up and kill a few Kafirs.

Islam doesn't allow even the harming of women or children or old people during the war , and what world are you living in. Is that your om jay jagadish speakin or what? According to the Quran "Fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you" According to the ahadith, we should never make the first move during wars. I don't blame you, its just that a society may narrow the mind of a person.

"...Therefore, the Quran has the ultimate word on all issues. Yes the Quran is the only true word of Allah." I was fine until right there. But the devil is in the details, as is commonly said. I would suggest, however, that you have a point of sorts. It IS the actions of nations that cause their downfall. Particularly right now. I would suggest that you look closer to home, where your governments and their institutions have universally failed the Islamic people of the world. Given your collective lack of progress towards those ideals held dear by the rest of mankind might suggest a comprehensive review of your failings to yourselves. I'd like to tend my garden, while you tend yours. However, your "eagerness" to teach us Islamic history has left a rather sour taste in the mouths of most Americans. I'll, meanwhile, continue to read my bible, thank you.

According to the Quran "Fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you".. Tell that to ALL the ISlamo-Fascist assholes of your gutter religion who seem to find NO problem in justifying their actions by citing the Quran book chapter and verse whenever they want to behead a kaffir or murder without regard. And to say that they are not "true muslims" is just pathertic hogwash to used to deflect from the of your own pedophile illiterate false prophet. This has been discuseed ad nauseum before on these boards, specifically on this board. read a little before you make yourself look like a fool. As to different versions of the quran, it is there. As simple behind the mistranslation of 72 virgins instead of 72 raisins or dates. Quite a difference, justifying rape of women instead of dipping your wicks into dates or raisins. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=33762 http://missmabrouk.blogspot.com/2005/10/top-72-virgins-skinheads-or-raisins.html http://www.rim.org/muslim/qurancrit.htm swhitebull - nothing new here, just another person with eyes and ears closed. http://www.submission.org/quran/warsh.html

Islam is the only religion started by an illitrate and obviously Muhhammad (PBUH) did not write the koran (in its present form) himself. Isnt it possible that he altered the verses by god to suit him? And God almighty, if he needed the people to follow a certain book (or code) he could have easily given the code in written to Mohd. .. Have u ever pondered over the fact that, the very basis of Human Nature is change? and nothing is permanent except change.. People change, Laws change, perception changes, earth's topography changes, Sun's temprature changes, even worshipping methods change... why is it that Islam is so unreceptive to change?

I have a question... Do you support Al-Qaeda and the Islamic Jihad against the West? I just want to get an idea of how a muslim views the West, etc. Thanks
