Our God is Allah and i would be sick before i see God replaced by some hundereds of names all consisting of....(well nevermind, this isn't a place for religious arguments)

well i'll continue the comment about hundreds of gods. you see that set of phrases (which we are talking about..which is the subject of the topic) can't be used by you, as you being hindus don't claim to have a god but you have gods. oh yeah and i wouldn't have the word cows replaced by God either.:P

I would like to add something: Islam is the only religion started by an illitrate and obviously Muhhammad (PBUH) did not write the koran (in its present form) himself. Isnt it possible that he altered the verses by god to suit him? And God almighty, if he needed the people to follow a certain book (or code) he could have easily given the code in written to Mohd. .. Have u ever pondered over the fact that, the very basis of Human Nature is change? and nothing is permanent except change.. People change, Laws change, perception changes, earth's topography changes, Sun's temprature changes, even worshipping methods change... why is it that Islam is so unreceptive to change?

Note that Allah = singular. Hope everyone agrees to it. How come there are so many verses in the Quran saying “ we sent down…we made…we did…etc” ? Are there any companions to Allah? Now have a look at the first chapter Al-Fatihah. It starts like “In the name of Allah …most merciful…most beneficent…” How come ALLAH is praising himself? Can I say Quran is not entirely Allah’s words? Muhammad edited it or Allah praised himself? Look at verses like 39:3 and many other verses. Allah calls himself Allah…why doesn’t he speak in first person? So Muhammad spoke on behalf of Allah and Allah did not right? Look at 39:5…it says “he has created the heavens….39:6 says “he created you…” how come Allah is referring to himself in third person? Absurd isn’t it? Can you find the same kind of addressing in any religious scriptures? Above all Muslims say Allah is beyond everything….Allah has no image. How come you people refer to Allah as “him”? Does that mean Allah has an image and that’s why Allah has a gender too?

The Qu'ran was sent down by an Angel, so it's not in third person.

Some verses in the Qu'ran advice for particular times in history, while others are messages for all Muslims.

Islam is about peace, those who are extremists misinterpret the Qu'ran. 

Not all Muslims are terrorists, and not all terrorists are Muslims.
