I've just read an article by Ahmed Rashid (author of Taliban) in the Times that 'thankfully, the parliament in Pakistan has rallied around the President' and that 'fundamentalists who claimed the quake was Allah's punishment for Musharaff's ties to US and diplomatic gestures to Israel' have been 'ignored'. If Taliban loving parties want to claim that quakes and other disasters in Muslim countries are God's punishment for their governments being friendly to the hated infidels/Zionists etc or not implementing Sharia strictly, then what do they have to say about the jitard camps that have been flattened by the Kashmir quake? Apart from the civilian population and the Indian/Pak military bases that were hit, dozens of terror bases have also been demolished, resulting in the deaths of 'Allah's finest'. (my sarcasm is bitter and accurate). Does this mean God is angry at the terrorists for being killers, or will their supporters claim it's punishment for not winning the jihad sooner?
