The explosion went off just after Ms Bhutto left the rally in Rawalpindi, minutes after her speech to thousands of people. Suicide bomber alleged to be decoy, she was shot to death by assassin as she was moved by security  from the rally after the bomb went off.

This was a professional assassination.

   Herald i know you refuse to talk to a lunatic, so i will talk to myself, and if i were you i would listen!.
    Just remember this year 2012, and i would prepare for the worst case scenario. Maybe then you will finally understand that those "Qualified People" could not contain that Atom. And we will all pay a heavy toll to the boatman for their lack of vision!.
 
   Perhap's it should be William Jefferson Clinton who should now have the title of "Destroyer of Worlds". Well he should have done us all a favor and jumped out a window like Forrestal.
 
  So since i am just a raving loon maybe you should ask your sane self this question:
 
   Have i prepared myself and my family for the worst case scenario? Or would you rather keep your faith in FEMA?

You have a very good point on that one. If this was done by ISI or even Musharaf himself, then how could rest of the world trust such a regime with nuclear weapons? I think that sentinel is already in the prime location to survive 2012.

Benazir Bhutto may have been a Radcliffe College-educated female leader, so pressuming that she was killed for being just that in a Talibani-infested country is perfectly normal. But also remember that she was the leading light of a centuries old feudal family in a province (Sindh) where bonded-labour and droit de seigneur are still commonplace; she was the head of a political machine locked in fierce and often violent battle with a political machine of another community (Mohajirs); she was opening up talks with the military HQ in Rawalpindi, scaring her own friends and family as to whom she will offer up as sacrificial lambs to re-enter corridors of power; the military HQ may have found some double-dealing on her part as well. A long list of possible suspects.

I have read and heard from several sources that The US has a plan in place to secure the Pakistani Nuclear Weapons.   Anyone have a counter to this?    Also, I forget the name but the US has a policy that if one nuke goes off in the US or it's allies traced back to the M.E. that the Middle east will be gone Mecca/Medina all of it....whether our President has the backbone if that horrendous event ever occurs is another factor.  I got to look up what the code word is...

Martial law followed by a dictatorship. Chaos for certain. I wonder if we will  even be able to guarantee the country will be there if the worst comes to the worst.

This is not good news for GWOT or the entire South West Asia area.  The assasination can trigger instability in Pakistan.  I am sure that India is on alert as well as our troop in Afghanistan.  Let us hope this is not part of a wider plot to overthrow the government and trigger a general civil war.
