I wouldn't hold your breath. All he seems to do is repost right-wing newspapers.

Ah, so that's the problem. Adam's not a left-wing loony.

Scarcely.

I've got nothing against someone who reads right-wing papers. I'm offended in equal measure by some of the reporting/op-ed pieces in all papers, with the exception of the Daily Mail, which is beyond the pale.

What I don't like is debating with a spam-bot. He doesn't post much that he actually types himself, it's mostly cut-and-paste of copyrighted material. When he deigns to add his own comment, its such gems as:

"Americans are useless at fighting wars.  Absolutely useless.  Get back to fighting the Indians and leave Iraq to us."

Leading certain others to post thusly:

Got to wonder who "you" is supposed to refer to?
If he meant the UK and Commonwealth (not counting Australia, they were there), perhaps it because they recognised it for the clusterfudge that it was and knew well enough to steer clear.

As for AdamB, best ignore the oxygen thief and perhaps he'll go away.

Good advice, I'll do just that. There is obviously no point trying to conduct a reasoned debate with him.

Cheers."

So what - lots of people get Vietnam wrong. I might have disagreed with him on that but it doesn't mean I hold a grudge.

Merely pointing out a theme to his posts.
I don't use descriptions like "Oxygen-thief" lightly and assume that others do not. It appears that I am wrong on this count.

Since AdamB thinx UK can rule the world better than US-Lets hear the masterplan

I didn't write the article, did I?

Although Britain DID rule the world better than what the Americans are trying to do now.

Britain ruled a quarter of the world's people and a quarter the world's land without the hi-tech equipment such as stealth bombers and supersonic fighter jets.  America struggles to control Iraq and 20 million people.

I'm not a Guardianista.

It  means that I'm not a Left-Wing, hand-wringing liberal who worries about melting polar ice-caps who wears T-shirts saying "Save The Vegetarian Whales From Global Warming" whilst reading the Guardian or Independent which are both made of recycled paper whilst listening to a BBC reports about the "benefits" of the EU whilst drinking coffee made from environmentally-friendly beans in a cup made of splinter-free sustainable wood and eating tofu.

Does what paper you read define your political leaning?

Can't say that I noticed.

Take each person on their own merits.

There is full opportunity for UK to go do that in Iraq--why not?? There is $8trillion in oil there surely that should stir up some old instincts--or is true that even if UK were in charge in Iraq that it would too face problems.

Maybe it does.

Some people don't buy the Sun because "it is Tory" and instead buy the Mirror.

Most Tories wouldn't read the Guardian.
