Is Dr Strangelove a British film?  Are you sure?

I honestly don't know which of the old films are US, and which are UK.  The Great Escape is US right?

For sure I would have Goldeneye, The Italian Job and Trainspotting.  Maybe Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

But then there are so many good old war films..... and what about the three Monty Python films?

I'm not sure I can pick a top five, but the best British film, by miles, is The Third Man.

A bit off-thread, but the best made for TV drama/film would be Tinker,Tailor,Soldier,Spy (currently being re-run on BBC4 on monday evenings)
