I don't really see what that has to do for Iranian influence in the UK.

If you want to see where Iran has influence and makes the UK look a tad hypocritical, you should look at the largest(?) uranium mine in Namibia, co-owned by the UK and Iran.

Since we claim to object to uranium enrichment to weapons grade rather than civilian reactor uranium use, how is this hypocritial, Yimmy? The Iranians can mine uranium for power plants without any arguement from us (although with all that oil it does seem disingenuous).

The Iranian nuke program started under SHah with US industrial majors--not under Ayatollah, and that was 20years ago when oil was plentiful, plus Iran imports oil--remeber it has to be refined. Nuclear power is a good choice for Iran--nothing odd about it. Expect more nuclear power around the world or expect the polar caps to drown North & South--surfs up though!!

Of course it isn't hypocritical if you actually think the matter through, but I would make a good mass media reporter eh?

Oh, and as of tommorow I am back at university, so wish me luck!
