|This position represents an exceptional opportunity to join a highly motivated and dynamic team that is expanding to enable BAE Systems to provide the in-service support infrastructure needed by the MoD and RAF to operate the Typhoon Weapon System in-service.
You will be working in conjunction with the RAF, on site at RAF Coningsby, in performing the Maintenance, Repair and Upgrade activities to meet the requirements of the UK Typhoon fleet, as part of the Manage Maintenance contracted service.
As a Senior Supervisor your key duties will include:
Ensuring that all work performed within areas of responsibility is conducted in accordance with current Health and Safety and Environmental Protection legislation in accordance with reference B.
Using the Dedicated Manufacturing System (DMS) as the engineering recording media (post DMS training and authorisation) IAW Reference C.
Carrying out associated duties as directed.
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and challenging inefficiency or poor working practices.
Implementing and driving lean improvement initiatives.
Complying with the RAF Coningsby Quality Management System IAW Reference C.
As a Senior Supervisor your key skills and qualifications will include:
Typhoon Q qualification (or industry equivalent)
Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
Maintenance experience (specifically on aircraft)
Experience of managing people
ESS/ DMS experience and exposure to a MAOS environment

Due to the nature of the team's work the candidate must be able to work under their own initiative based on direction given by the Maintenance Supervisor and to tight timescale constraints.
