Subject: SBS Officers

Hi, As i understand it the SBS(r) are now recruiting civilians. Does this mean civilians can join the UKSF(r) as officers or are they regular officers posted for a tour or two. Also, from what i've read UKSF officers tend to stay at base commanding from there and NCO's command on the ground, is this so? Please feel free to not post due to Opsec etc. Great forum here as there seems to be less banter and impatience that are killing other forums Thanks, L

locomotion... not too sure about this one, though through experience and logic, i'd say it's rather unlikely. reserve or not you still need a couple years as a regular boot. i can only imagine that this requirement would be stressed more so for officers. i'm curious, what was your source?
