Subject: Green Berets PT
bravoss    4/12/2007 11:37:04 AM
I was wondering how hard is the Green Berets PT because I never heard its difficulty being stressed so much as with the SAS or KSK for example. I read about very exhausting marches being done by SAS and KSK recruits. How hard are U.S. Special Forces PT exercices compared to SAS or KSK ? I'd like to know how long do they have to run and such things. I'd like to try doing similar PT here, just of pure curiosity to see if I can do it. Thank you.

Why don't you join and find out? Considering SFAS and the Q course together have over an 80% washout rate, I am sure it wouldn't be easy. Not something you can use as a benchmark or to see if you can do it.

So you're saying SEALs start being uninformed and arrogant pretty early on in their training pipeline?

I wouldn't call walking up big hills with a backpack PT, I'd call it hiking.

because SEALs obviously dont do anything hard i mean their training only takes 1.5-2 years just to become a SEAL not as a specialist in anything and it's only rated as the hardest military training in the world and they clearly dont use packs because the most successful clandestine force would never need more than oh 80-100lbs of gear....to accomplish the most sensitive of missions.....*sarcasm*

look up david goggins or paul tharp
