SCCO Marine is actually pretty respectable, I don't have a problem with him. The funny thing about Braddock was (as you mention) his claim of influencing the entire SOF community, but he called US Army SF "Green Berets" and did not know who to contact to join under 18x. Remember when he advocated that Army SF should change it's doctrine on clearing buildings so that a multiple story building could be cleared from floor-up, top down? Another funny thing was his vocabulary...he would have gotten hazed if he would have made it through the SF pipeline.

I can just imagine Terrance in the latrine (or bathroom, whatever it's called) when Iceman the SF operator (and a few other SF guys) walks in a gives Terrance a wedgie and stuffs his head down the toilet, all to the laughs of his SF friends. "Please mister Green Beret, don't force me to use my Shaolin martial arts background on you!"

My recollection is that he claimed his influence stemmed directly from having taken an online correspondence course administered by some officer who had previously made coffee in the SecDef's office or for the president or Joint Chiefs or something (making coffee being the sort of job majors and light colonels do in those settings).  He therefore was able to "shape policy" while bypassing all that pesky stuff like selection and training.

Alternately, he might have just used the radio transmitted the CIA had implanted in his molar to directly beam suggestions to the USASOC commander or something.  Braddock was a very creative guy.

Y'know, his expertise actually went way beyond "strategery" doncha?

Somebody named Terrance Jones also published:

Needs assessment and acquisition recommendation for improving telecommunications at Home Savings and Loan Association of Aurora (ISM MAP project)

I'm not sure about this one:

Fear of success in college age women in traditional and non-traditional curriculum

Same guy?  Naw, couldn't be!

Another way to explain Braddock/Braddock Caesar (And his various other incarnations) :

I considered making a "Barking Moonbat" certificate and starting a thread for nominations.

I shelved the idea because Braddock would have won the award in perpetuity. No fun having a contest when you already know who the victor is.

dunno bout perpetuity.  darth for instance really ought to have been considered for his efforts to try to convince shek that the usa actually won in vietnam.

Seriously, I just posted that as a joke.  According to Amazon those books were published in 1985 and 1977.  I typed his name into Amazon and those two came up in addition to the ones we know he published.  If our Braddock was around 40 he would have been a lttle young to be publishing in 1985, much less 1977.

The titles sure do have a Braddock  sounding quality to them though, don't they?  Who knows?

That first sounds almost exactly like a Braddock post.

"Strategical, Tactical, and Morale boosting benefits of twienkies in MRE's for use by Special Operations personell; a in depth look". In a weird way, I miss the funny titles and geeky vocabulary of Braddock/Terrance/whoever.
