>>Are you kidding me? I find this statement comical. Afghanistan today, is a direct offshoot from the Cold War.<< "Actually, it's a direct offshoot of the British partition of the Afghan and future Pakistan frontiers during the Victorian era and then the peculiarities this inflicted on Pakistani nationalism." LOL, you so silly boss. Maybe we should view the THE IRAN-CONTRA AFFAIR in terms of the Spanish Empire? Nicaragua was a former Spanish Colony...

>>Whatever, I guess ingorance is bliss.<< I do trust you to have an informed opinion on that particular matter, even if you seem to be uninformed about so much else.

Guy, you keep saying I am wrong but give nothing in support aside from your dialogue. Enough with your poetic injustice provide hard facts… You think if you write eloquently, you are right.

"I do trust you to have an informed opinion on that particular matter, even if you seem to be uninformed about so much else." Wow you were clearly on the debate club in High School. You really showed me with your clever wit...

Enough with your poetic injustice provide hard facts… You think if you write eloquently, you are right. << In this particular case, I really have no need to provide facts because as I've noted, Shek has already demolished your claims -- I mean literally torn them down brick by brick, bulldozed your ideas into the dirt, and scattered salt on top of them to create the sort of poisoned place where nothing grows your theories merit -- with copious quotes and citations to support his counter claims and ideas. Living in a world where time is a finite sort of resource, I really see no need to repeat his prodigious and definitive work in this thread. But, no need to worry, should I see you making a public spectacle of yourself in some future discussion where someone has not already taken you to task in a comprehensive manner I'll be happy to take it upon myself to do so.

LOL, you so silly boss. Maybe we should view the THE IRAN-CONTRA AFFAIR in terms of the Spanish Empire? Nicaragua was a former Spanish Colony... << What I find witty in this comment -- and the wit is so obviously unintended on your part it embarasses me slightly to even bring it up -- is that you apparently think Pakistan's peculiar ethnic composition (and associated border) is some piece of ancient history simply because it was established years ago. But of course, unlike the Cold War, which is a static and antiquated reference point in the modern era that you seem to find quaintly "modern" for some reason, Pakistan is a going concern . . . and its concern over the integrity of its territory, notably that inhabited by ethnic Pashtuns, is a matter of concern in the now, not in some fading and increasingly irrelevant homage to the 1980s. Put another way -- why do you think the Pakistani intelligence service supported the Taliban? Some sort of Islamic group-think? Or do you think the Taliban leapt to power in Afghanistan purely on its own merits and armed prowess after you've spent entirely too much time protesting that the only reason big bad Al-Qaeda exists is thanks to a foreign patron? Perhaps the Pakistanis simply are not exciting enough a villain for the piece in your mind, so you need to scrabble elsewhere looking for some way to trace this, like everything else, back to the US? Anyway, you've yet to demonstrate to me you have any grasp of much of anything to do with Afghan history, Soviet-era or otherwise, in this thread outside of the desperate revisionism some latter-day Marxists are tossing out to the dwindling faithful. I'd recommend you look into the basic idea of educating yourself about this matter -- and it might be in your interest to expand your horizons beyond those websites that consider Marx and Lenin great thinkers -- before jumping in with both feet in a full on attempt to embarass yourself. Just an idea.

Bravo sir, bravo! << It's a modest writing sample to judge by, but I daresay I think Braddock has announced himself to be a Lizard King fan . . . not that such a collusion of Kool-Aid drinkers should surprise anyone, I suppose . . .

"not that such a collusion of Kool-Aid drinkers should surprise anyone, I suppose . . . " I have no idea what 'Kool-Aid' is. Horsesoldier, you are, without a doubt, the most arrogant red-neck I’ve ever come across. Just because people don't use the extensive vocabulary you posses they are immediately labeled as sub-species. On the other hand I do congratulate you on your vast knowledge on pretty much anything... You don't get out much, do you?
