To what extent do your SF Jack Bauers out there need Chloe/Edgars? Is technology in enough use that relying on the operators' tech knowledge no longer suffices? Where do the Special Forces get tech support and infrastructure?

In relation to Special Forces units with IT expertise the Australian SASR rely on the 152nd Signals squadron to provide the comms and tech expertise. Some of the 152nd sigs personnel are actually 'Beret' (SAS) qualified but have chosen to remain in the 152nd. I'd imagine US SOCOM units have something similar. Its either that or single out certain operators for training.
