Gents (and any Ladies that we do not know are lurking here). I've got a lot to do over the next couple of months and won't be able to post here for a while. Good bye for now and I hope the regulars are here when I return. Cheers, AG.

Unmarried, Child-free?

Chances are, these are equivalent to unmarriable and unloving.

Something tells me that she's probably the Gordon Brown of Austrlia. What have you done? What have you done? At least the good part in this is that the only crisis that Australia will be facing soon is guaranteed collapse of real estate bubble.

Something tells me that your views on Australian politics are of even less worth than your views on American politics. Still, why bother understanding something when glib & shallow is so easy.

Look forward to a climbdown when she wins the election & property doesn't collapse (OK, who am I kidding, this will end up down the memory hole unless I poke you to do it).

Given the comments came from you, whose understanding of reality is contradict to everything in the real world, I take that as a compliment.

Unfortunate for you that you can't see the fact that the wise women are always those with good husband and children. Apparently you can't comprehend the rationale behind a woman's decision to put career on the first priority in expense of family and children, especially for a female lawyer. I can explain, but you won't understand. So I should stop here.

And I also wonder why Osawld Spengler wrote the book.

As men we both should know that work is for a living and survival. Modern teaching and mass media bombardment made well-educated (usually in subjects that are not very useful) Western women believe work is for fulfillment and career path.

Until they pass their 30s and start to regret. For women, they can achieve financial stability by marrying good men, then they can pursue whatever they seem dear to their lives. Children are necessary in order to secure "financial stability." They come in handy at old age as well. We men die much earlier than women, thus we have much less stake on families than women. As a matter of fact, many women do have good husband, children and a successful career. Just take a look at Michelle Obama.

On the contrary, women who choose not to have husband and children have great grudge against patriarchal society and disdain against social norm. Envious and hateful are their nature. Once they hold and gain power, they will do whatever it takes to maintain their grip. Without their grip of political power, they are nothing and have nothing to fall back to. Thus, critics aren't tolerable, and the end result would be personality cult as political inner circle. This ain't gonna end well for people involved in this coup inside Labour, but it will be a great political drama for outsiders (Labour members who are not too involved in the political process, Liberals and people who don't really care).
