On 9/11 2,823 americans were killed they were people doing thier jon, police officers and firefighters the 343 firefighters and 73 cops were the "best of america" who gave their lives saving people who were being killed by people YOU support.

You just demonstrated the fundamental diference between our cultures, we celebrate life while you enjoy death. While the rest of the world boldly strides into a bright future your culture is doomed to it's own failures. Don't blame the west when your children die from disease, famine and war while ours live a life of comfort.

America has brought upon itself the plague of fundamentalism. If American troops hadn't prodded their way into the business of Muslims and hadn't given their total support to Israel and forged a nation for it, it wouldn't be the target of these attacks. Do we ever see HizbAllah or al-Qaeda launching major martyrdom operations against nations like Switzerland or Canada? America's blatant attack on Islam is the very reason for it's suffering at the hands of those brave men and women who give their lives for Allah. They are guaranteed a spot in Paradise for their attacks on those who wish to conquer us.

I'm definately not a moslem, but I resent the implication that mohammedanism is indentified with HizboOlah (misspelt with intention)- from both sides. There are about 60 million generally decent non-political turks, that has harboured procecuted jews: In Antakya there Christian churches, mosques, synagoges - and fundamental terrorists. Religion is just a pretext for pampered new-rich village bullies: The terrorists are NOT poor people in any sense of the word. One of the major problems is that arab countries have not had a free debate - ever. This leads to wishfull thinking and selfpity. The disaster of Iraq was not brought about by the USA: The starvation in one of the most fertile countries of the world was brought about by Saddam. The other arab-leaders have mismanaged their countries to a varying degree. These terrorists will cost us time, money and blood; but they will be eliminated as a threat either the easy way (them stopping their nefarious acts) or the hard way.

Reminds me of that old anecdote from the British Raj when they were cracking down on Sufi (where if a Hindu woman's husband died she would throw herself on his funeral pyre - or, as often, be thrown on by the relatives). INDIAN MAN: This is part of our culture and you must respect it! BRITISH GENERAL: Very well, but if that is the case you will have to respect the fact that hanging people who kill women is part of our culture. But I digress... Is there anything inherently ignoble about suicide bombing as a method? No. Is there anything inherently ignoble about deliberately blowing up cafes full of civilians and kids? You bet your candy ass there is and no amount of twisted cultural relativism is going to make me believe otherwise.
