Long before WW2 ended these bombers (103 B-10Bs bought for the US) were suitable only for training, acting as target tugs (converted to B-10Ms) and miscellaneous support functions. They were obsolete as bombers by the time the B-17 production began. State of the art aeronautics and aircraft structural design was moving too fast for these planes to ever be more than good learning tools for designing later machines.
