"The US Congress and the Jewish community should encourage historians on both sides to objectively examine what took place.
Nations mature when they can look at themselves in the mirror and see the grey, the wrinkles and the blemishes."
Like we don't want?Armenians are the ones who doesn't discuss over this.Because according to them there is no need to do this. After all whole world believes it's a genocide.
A guy in the comment section said
"While the mass killing of the Armenians by the Ottoman Empire during WW
I was tragic, most European countries also did similar things. First
concentration camps were in South Africa, for the Blacks, operated by
the British, long before the Nazis came to powe. Also the French
massacre of the Algerians after World War II was comparable to what the
Ottomans did to the Armenians. The world stayed indifferent when the
Serbs encircled Sarajevo. Turkey is singled out because it is Muslim."
I believe this is very true
What annoys us Turks is mostly the fact that no one cares about what was done to us.And what was done by other powers(massacres of Indians,Algerians,Blacks,Turks....etc)
No one ever accuses them with such things but everybody accuses us even though there is an undeniable violence aganist us.
(and the fact that things in Armenian conflict does not qualify the terms of genocide)
