Back on the drawing board are the 4,000t + Sth Korean SSX-111's which is an indigenous platform & are to be built by Daewoo, Hyundai & LG doing the electrics. I'm not sure about the propulsion systems whether they will use an air system & an MTU, Seimens set up with torpedoes & VLS. Battery systems are where the high technology could emerge. Interested in any views esp in relation to existing platforms.

South Korea knows nothing about advanced submarine technology. I see nothing here to actually get excited about. Like the rest of their navy, their submarine force is a farce, it looks good on paper, but is a technological JOKE.

The fact is that the Germans will actually have to BUILD the boats in country to make sure the system integration works.
