Subject: Denmark becomes member of an elite club
On Watch    2/4/2006 2:23:45 PM
As its Embassy in Syria is burned down in protest over cartoons. Wonder if those Danes who saw the Islamists as a "Law Enforcement Problem" are having second thoughts? Oh and btw, being the Swedish embassy was in the same building, are the Danes & Swedes forever reunited and linked by the forges & fires of Islamist hate crimes? Just wondering~~~ Let's Roll

As its Embassy in Syria is burned down in protest over cartoons. Wonder if those Danes who saw the Islamists as a "Law Enforcement Problem" are having second thoughts? As a matter a fact, this was a police issue. The Syrian police and authorities failed to protect foreign embassies on Syrian soil. There can be two interpretations of this 1) The Syrian gov't condoned of this action. Very serious business in diplomatic terms. 2) The Syrian gov't has been weakened to a degree, that it hasn't the political strenght or legitimacy in the population to restrain the islamists. You go think about that. Oh and btw, being the Swedish embassy was in the same building, are the Danes & Swedes forever reunited and linked by the forges & fires of Islamist hate crimes? Just wondering~~~ The Swedes are mute about this. The Chilean and Norwegian embassies have gone up in smoke too.

A reasonable response to the burning down of the Western embassies in Syria would be to round up the Syrian diplomats and citizens in those countries to exchange for the Syrian diplomats and citizens before a hostage criss results. Then after the exchange, raze the Syrian embassies in those countries, a measured and equitable response. Sorry, don't buy it to the excuse/reason that radical elements beyond the control of the Syrian Government were responsible. Given Carter's cowardly response to the Iranians a precedent may have been set and the european counties may to to ignore what Teddy Roosevelt would consider an act of war. The world was simpler then, right and wrong were not fungible.

You go think about that. Well, Mr. Chairy I have thought some about the topic of "Law Enforcement" and Islamist Facsism since John Kerry floated that baloon during the last US presidential election. However I'm still wondering: -- 1. Will the Danish police make an arrest in Damascus? 2. Do they expect the perps/tangos to turn themselves in? 3. Are they hoping the French will reoccupy Syria with gendarmes? 4. Praying to Allah for divine intervention? 5. Beg Kofi Inane to send in UN bureaucrats? 6. Ask GW Bush to send in the Marines to kick ass? "Let's Roll" PS thanks for the Heads-Up on the Swedish meatball response, and yes I read about the colateral damage to the Chilean Embassy -- not the mountain monkeys though -- If true, all that asskissing in Oslo up in smoke, how sad, sniff sniff sniffle. Let's Roll

So Mr. Watchy. Are you doing lend-lease deals on CBGs for minor allies ?? Sure would come in handy right now.

- Vi vil holde Syrien ansvarlig for sådanne voldelige demonstrationer, eftersom de ikke finder sted i det land uden regeringens viden og støtte, siger Scott McClellan, der er talsmand for Det Hvide Hus i Washington. We shall hold Syria responsible for such violent demonstrations as they won't happen in this particular country without the govts support and consent. - Scott Mclellan, White House spokesperson My translation.

This is a very serious incident. That embassy was Danish territory just as much as Bornholm or Helsingør. The Foreign Minister wants to call in the EU. Forget about it. The only international organization that we need to call is NATO! Attacking Danish territory is an act of aggression against The Kingdom of Denmark. And by extension, NATO. This is causus belli and we need to confront the Syrians with this. If we let them get away with it, there is no telling what they will think of next. Let's make an example out of Syria.
