I think whenever you defend the basic rights of man, the cost is heavy, but well worth it. I'm humbled and inspired by your stance. It's also nice to know that I could insult you if i so desired.

is denmark doing something about security.i mean terrorists should have threated Denmark. You have absolutely no idea of the amount of threats coming our way these days, sigh. Well, DK has been on a relatively high alert level due to our coalition participation, and the domestic intelligence service has had its budget more than doubled since 911. There are some signs in our daily lives, that precautions are being taken. The effort for preventing attacks lie primarily in surveillance and keeping relations between populations benign. The latter is likely to be ferked up now. what is danish government doing... You should be able to see this in the internatinal media. ...and how much will boycotts cost to Denmark?? Danish exports valued at ~$100b total. Danish export to Muslim countries $1-2b. Danish trade surplus ~$11b. Denmark is also net exporter of oil and natural gas. It is hard to the firms hit, but the effect on our overall economy in case of total boycott from muslim countries is irrelevant.

Well I notice that the Police does not signify a raised level of alert! Which means they think they have the situation pretty much in hand. i.e. they are already watching the potential perpetrators. The reverse side of this is that those travelling the middle east spreading "the truth plus VAT" are the ones they are watching. The cost: Well I for one think the result will be a net profit, because there is no such thing as bad publicity in the marketplace. Some of you american please tell if Danish cheese and stuff appears on the US market with arabic labelling - that will give an indication of how fast Mr. Møllers ship are sailing.

If anything, the Arab boycott will help - plenty of people I know are specifically buying Danish products now, precisely because of all this! Ahh well, another boycott backfires terribly, oh dear, how sad...

Oh yes he is still alive. The grim reaper has not been able to get an appointment. He wife died a short while ago though. Besides Maybe we could interest the middle eastern countries in a line of Anders Fogh Rasmussen and George Bush carpets?? At a price naturally. The Al Qaida has threatned to refuse us oil (and Norway too). Funne we are both petroleum exporters. Illiteracy has its drawbacks.
