100 Faces of War Experience: Portratis & Words of Americans who served in Iraq & Afghanistan, a Work in Progress 100 Faces is a project which focuses on the personal experiences of Americans who have gone to war. Specifically it is about the experiences of those who have gone from America to serve in some capacity, military or civilian, in Iraq or Afghanistan during the current wars.

100Faces is looking for people who have served in Afghanistan and Iraq.  The artist who has created this project will paint your portrait and add your statement to it.

I've met the artist.  He seems like a decent, thoughtful person, and he is very -good- artist.  He's known to friends of mine and is looking, with respect, for cooperation from veterans and civilians.

I like the lady who wanted us to lift the sanctions because we were starving hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children. And now that we've lifted the sanctions she's all upset because we are at war there. What would she prefer that we let Saddam Hussein do whatever he want? WTF? ...Liberals...

Hello,

I am the artist from 100 Faces.  If I didn't include a peace activist on the ground in the picture of the war wouldn't the project be missing some scope?  Its certainly not a common perspective but the aim of 100 Faces is to try to get as wide as possible a range of personal experiences of Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan during OEF and OIF.  The project will change its nature as more people participate.

Thanks,
Matt
