Useless syrian armed forces with small greek armed forces against a world recognized armed force equals a laugh. Let talk about this alliance. Greek have nothing to help syrians. There economy is small, their armed forces enough for border control and obsolute generals makes them weak. Syrians armed force in has the same problem with more enemies. it cant continue a fight longer then a week due to israel. Military weapons and planes are broken down with no money to repair them. It is sad to see any one even defend this alliance. If turkey decides to attack syria and greece at same time it will devastate both countries in matters of hours and mop up in few days. 500 thousand ready troops with 7 million in reserve with trained military personal it will be said to erase both countries out of the map. Turkey can increase its borders by 80 percents in matter of hours. Nato and russia will not due nothing to stop it. You know what this alliance remindes me of phony war of 1939. Its on paper not a reality.

This is one which would cause even most of Europe to break out in laughter. Syria is "powerful"? In whose opinion? Not recently..

Bsl so right. Syria is not an ally just another name in the paper. Syrian military is so much back in technology and military background its not a viable ally. Its half working military is in decimation and old weapons with no viable parts to does not help. I think they should declare them self neutral like switzerland and make the world defend them.

It happened in the past. There was no Turkey then, as the Turks had not yet overflown from their central Asian ancestral steppes, but we beat the Seleucid Hellenistic kingdom of Syria in our Judean homeland nonetheless, and kicked their asses all the way back to Damascus. That's what Hanukka is all about, btw. If we are ever compelled to go through this again, well, that's bad karma but we'll do it, and we'll be the ones with the heavy cavalry this time around.
