Subject: 80cm Gustav Gerat

Anyone know anything about determining the penetration of the ammuntion for this beast? Ian Hogg & a few others very briefly describe its use vs the Soviet forts at Sevastopol. Any hard data or ideas on this gun or the other large guns, down to 20cm are welcome.

Neither will open on this machine.  Its clear extra characters are being added to the addresses when I hit the link button.   Tried using a PC in the coffe shop, but I got a different set of error messages off it.

When  I played around long enough editing the address in the top bar eventually a good connection was made.

Wot a pain.

But I can copy & paste the address written out above.  That opens the web site with no problem.

I found those earlier & elsewhere, but thanks for the effort.  What I am currently searching for is data, or a method to estimate, the penetration of the ammunition.

I've never actually used this, but combinedfleet.com claims to have some program thats good for finding gun data. the sites about the japanese navy, so I don't know if it will help with guns larger than the 18 inchers on the yamato. Might work, so I would say give it a try. on the other hand, if it fails, I said nothing.
