I found it boring compared to the other SG series. Gloomy, too much infighting.. unless some changes are mae, this will be a very short-lived series IMO.

I didn't have an opportunity to watch it yet but I read comments about it being "Battlestar Stargate" with its more grimdark setting.

I had a cousin burn me off the first several ep's ('til the midseason break ends in March and it reruns or whatever to lead into the new episodes),
and I was mostly impressed the the first time the Destiny was heading into a sun (won't spoil it if no one's seen it)...interesting how a ship traveling the stars is, as Dr Rush (the lead scientist) says, "powered by the very stars themselves".
An interesting series, but from what I've seen, so far this saga of the series is more man-against-man than the previous ones: they've yet to face up against alien races, but rather the majority of conflict here is between the humans on the ship (competition for survival) and their interactions back on Earth via The Ancients' communication "stones".
Be an interesting watch when they continue it (20 new episodes coming, at least...)

Finding it all a bit grim to be honest, Robert Carlyle is a bloody awesome actor, but I think he's been miscast in this, also, the big seller for the SG franchise to press has been the humour, which is present - but doesn't offset the dark tone of the programme -

Lt MacBoobs ?
So far I like the show. The space battle was weak though (in ep. Space) but that's a SG constant.
