Blame Herald for this thread since he gave me the idea by mentioning the Topa Supervolcano on another thread.
Beginning today a super-volcanic erruption blows up to 2800 cubic kilometers of volcanic ash and rock into the morning sky. Temperatures drop 8 degrees c. in a matter of days and remain 5-10 degrees c. lower than average for the next couple of years. The Gulf Stream collapses and an mini ice age sweeps Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Russia.
Do we cooperate to survive? Do we kill each other over diminishing resources?
What happens politically and militarily?
Remember it has happened before and by definition it will happen again.
