WEre talking about a Havoc not a Hind and the Havoc is by far superior to the Apache.

Well I was just reading today that the Russians are still going to order about 50 or maybe is it 20 KA-52s for the FAC role in helo terms.... I must say that I am finding this an interesting discussion but jacque I just don't get where you have this notion about contras on the Hokum being a liability. Have you seen one of those babies flip and turn. Absolutely amazing. Only one has crashed due to rotor bump and that was a number of years ago and the pilot pushing the Hokum outside of its limits.

Did you see what missles is this baby carrying "Mokopa" I thin this missles have great advantage and that this chopper is quite good compeared to the western helicopters. It is the bigger brother of PAH-2 Tiger.

"Did you see what missles is this baby carrying "Mokopa" I thin this missles have great advantage and that this chopper is quite good compeared to the western helicopters. It is the bigger brother of PAH-2 Tiger." It was uncompetitive in the Australian Arny test for an armed helicopter. It was eliminated very early in the tender eval process Trounced by the Tiger in no uncertain fashion.

"Like Aussies know what they need. They even dont need helicopters." No offence sport, but what would you know about what Australia needs? "And I am saying that it's missles are great but about helicopter I think it's same as any alse." create the example so I can be shattered by your wisdom on this - give me some real life examples of why the Rooi is better than anything else for the job? You do understand how the tender evaluation process works in relation to national doctrine requirements? "!!THE WEAPON COUNTS!!My theory. " err. no, it's the system that counts. and the system includes logistics, national policy and doctrine. do some study in the appropriate areas.

Look first thing is that I am not a politician and all that laws and that crap. And the second thing I didn't say that Rooi is better than other helicopters but it's the same crap.

"There hasn't been any posting over here for a long time. FUNNY THING." not really. the following are the reasons why I post: topic has relevance topic is interesting I can contribute there is evidence of intelligent contributors I don't post when: it's teenagers making "best of", "best in the world", "top 10" and "X country sucks" type posts if it's a pissing competition if there is obvious;y no intention of posters to listen to other perspectives. the ratio of hysterical posters outweighs constructive posters by more than 2:1 and finally, when posters get stuck on hyperbole and nationalism at the expense of subjectivism. otherwise, I get bored pretty quickly. I must confess to loathing "best of" and "my widget is better than your widget because my country either makes or has bought the first widget" type threads. why? because usually too many kids drink Red Bull and become technical experts even though pause and patience would yield some worthwhile nuggets of knowledge.
